He lunges toward the window to get closer.
I tap on the glass to scare him off-
And he pries his head through the hole in the screen-
No birdseed. No peanuts. Not a scrap of anything edible. Yet he won't stop following me around. I swear the kid is not my son.

He sure is cute. You better make sure he doesn't get through that hole in the screen. He might want to board with your guinea pigs.

OMG, I am so jealous. I LOVE squirrels. I wish one would poke its little head through a screen to get at me. What did you do to deserve this adoration???
I have to admit they sure are cute, even when they're eating your bulbs, running away with your apples and pears, or stripping your sunflowers clean.... I won't make the mistake to feed one again. I did that once, and couldn't shake the little guy for a long time, he kept visiting our porch, and helping himself to my compost pail and making quite a mess of it. I have mostly the darker squirrels here. I like the light grey ones, like yours - in photos, anyhow. I'm glad he's your friend, and not mine!
